Cuckoo!
These are the ornaments I made for this year's Freshly{Blended} handmade ornament swap . Last year I made little accordions so naturally cuckoo clocks had to be next. They're going in the mail tomorrow to spread a little bavarian kitsch across the U.S. and all the way to Canada, Poland and Spain.
To make these, I created the illustration myself and then uploaded it to Spoonflower to be printed on fabric. I've been wanting to try out Spoonflower's services for a while now so this was the perfect opportunity. The colors came out a little different than I planned so my advice for anyone who's been thinking about doing something similar would be to allow yourself enough time to order a test swatch and make adjustments before you place an order for a larger amount of yardage.
I made a few extra that I will be selling at Tiny Expo, which is this Saturday in Ann Arbor. If you're still on the fence about coming, let me just point out that the bar will be open. Drinks and holiday shopping - together! at the same time! What could be better? Do it.

Oh my goodness! I can't figure out how to e-mail you, but I would be super grateful to be able to purchase one of these - I collect cuckoo clock ornaments. :) E-mail me at sgwinlenth (at) gmail.com if that would be possible. Thanks so much!
